Según aparece indicado en los documentos de la agencia gubernamental estadounidense, el futuro iPAQ H6300 incorpora las tecnologías de comunicación inalámbrica GSM y GPRS, así como Wi-Fi y Bluetooth. Esta información da por buenos los rumores que consideraban al futuro H6300 como el primer dispositivo híbrido -teléfono móvil y PDA- de la familia iPAQ.

El dispositivo, que incorpora el sistema operativo Windows Mobile 2003 Phone Edition, es un teléfono cuatribanda, ofreciendo la posibilidad de elegir entre las frecuencias 850/1900 y 900/1800 MHz.
